hello, are the seats on the S model already pre-wired for seat warming with the elements under the seats and all one has to do is install the switch for it?

Should be just a matter of removing the window switch panel and looking for the extra two plugs, if they are there, then I would say yes.

I think you're out of luck with that one. It seems like the duragrain seats weren't wired up that way. You always had the best luck if you had a 99-2001 leather interior Discovery. I'm almost positive 2003 and 2004's don't come with the elements, especially if you have duragrain.
Even if the elements aren't there, they're super easy to install.
It takes about an hour per seat, even if you're a stickler for details.

Sweet! I have the plugs and the leather interior, I think I may have saved a bit of $$$ on my my heated seat Christmas gift for my bride!

I believe that the plugs are there regardless if you have the elements or not.. Check out this link on disco2.com to see how to remove the upholstery [you can probably do it pretty quick just to take a peak if there are elements].

You could order an S with heated seats, clayatem... He's talking about an S without them installed already from the factory.

But....
my 04' Disco is deifnitely pre-wired for fog lights. I installed a set of the Hella 500 driving lights and I saw the wires for the Fog lights.
Now, I need to get a switch to plug it in the dash and connect the those fog light wires to make sure they actually work.
Looks much nicer with a set of driving lights, less naked look to it.
