2005 Fall Dove Season

I don't know about you guys, but the opening of the fall dove season for me is akin to the way a child looks forward to Christmas morning. It always includes friends, fellowship, food, and lots of fast and furious shooting (hopefully). I drove out to our dove field yesterday and the sunflowers were coming along nicely. We'll cut a good bit of them down before opening day. Here are a few pics...

We don't have Dove season here but I shot 3 species of Dove over a huge sunflower field in South Africa for one afternoon and loved it. Nice casual hunting and lots of action. We took a little walk in the bush around the field and shot guinea fowl and francolin as well, quite a mixed bag day! Wish I could do it at home.
