...is really ugly with it's body colored bumpers and fender flares. I think the black trim looked a lot better, at least on the flares. The new painted ones make them look huge.

I saw a chawton white one driving past the dealer and it looked hideous. It looks like they took an LR3 and just dipped it in paint. I'd at least make the grill black or chrome or something to make it less monotonous.

At least they have nice wheels.

Apparently the British government wants to give LR ?27 million to move forward on the LRX.

Product cost are estimated to be ?400 million.

I think it looks much better, and they won't fade like the plastic ones. There probably won't be very many 2009 LR3's anyway, most dealers haven't even sold their 2008 inventory.

We only have a silver one at the moment. I heard a few months ago that the national inventory for LR3's was like 180 or something like that.

i don't like black fender flares on any rover... i think it looks good. the grill could use a touch of something different. maybe not black. definitely not chrome. just something.

So we just got this SWEET 2008 (not 2009) LR3 in from Land Rover complete with the AWESOME stick on aluminum package. This is probably one of the worst things I have seen from Land Rover. My favourite part is the "exhaust tips." Did I mention this option costs $3500:banghead: I also like the plow that they put in place of the front bumper and the silver insert on the front grille that is clearly just glued on and not actually part of the grill.

Enjoy! (sorry for the camera phone pics)

Truth.

"We welcome the Government's support for this project, which would form a key part of our future product plans and which we very much want to put into production," said Phil Popham, Managing Director of Land Rover.

The grant offer will be made available under the Government's Grant for Business Investment scheme and is an important contribution towards the overall ?400 million cost of the project. This is separate from the broader automotive support package currently being unveiled by the Government.

Although it still has to go through a number of approval gateways in the product development process before getting the final go-ahead, Land Rover has also confirmed that the new car would be a key addition to the Range Rover family of luxury vehicles.

Phil Popham said, "Our engineering feasibility study has shown that we can very successfully deliver Range Rover levels of quality, drivability and breadth of performance in a more compact, more sustainable, package. Feedback from the most extensive customer research we have ever undertaken also fully supports our belief that a production version of the LRX Concept would further raise the desirability of our brand and absolutely meet all those expectations."

if you take a turd and dip it in paint, it's still a turd.

I'll be visiting Todd Landvik at LR Southpointe tomorrow, I hope to take one of their new LR3s out for a ride. Jason Michaels will also be there, looking forward to talking with him about some upcoming events for the LR3...
