As the hunting season gets closer (or in the thick of it for some folks) post up pictures of your kills, quotas, or just awesome pictures from the field. Fall turkey came and went, I saw a bunch of jakes, but didn't shoot anything.

Maybe this guy will hang around.

No deer hunting for me this year :( . Since moving to Georgia, the closest place I know to hunt is a 5 hour drive.

However I'm taking this fall, winter and next summer to find a decent place to go hunting. I hear Georgia has awesome deer hunting.

deer hunting in GA is pretty good. We used to hunt over in LaGrange a lot. I have hunted with my friend over towards statesboro some and then in southern GA a few times. Good luck!

A few from my game camera yesterday. These guys have been regulars this year.

I'm guessing the little guy is 90 to 100lbs. The middle size guy maybe 150ish? The big bitch I think is pushing 300lbs.

It's illegal to bait.

Kentucky you can hunt over corn. Tennessee I can plant and hunt over it, I just can dump out 50 lbs of yellow clover and pop him while he's got a mouth full.

Most states you can't bait though, they are like TN where you can plant and hunt over it.

That's the way it is on Virginia. You can plant a food plot, or hunt in a corn field, but you can't place the bait under your stand.

It does not do any good to bait, though. Not the last two years anyway. There are so many acorns on the ground it does not matter. Deer and bear would rather eat acorns than corn or horse and mule feed. All you have to do is find an oak tree with tons of acorns and hunt there.

I was out in a different spot tonight looking for a buck but the wind was a bit much. Lowered my bow down and was packing my bow holder etc in my pack when i look down and see a doe coming straight in less than 20 yards out. Finally had to whistle at her when it looked like she was going to step on my bow! Entertaining at least. Nice evening out with an owl hooting nearby, which is cool and spooky at the same time.

Just got back from Mitchell, SD and headed to Burlington, CO this afternoon.

We did well in SD but had to work for every bird. They had a very wet spring and summer. This is my first trip to Burlington so we'll see how it goes.

Got a nice young doe this morning. Fresh back straps:drool: I checked it in with the new automated telephone check in system. It was actually quite easy to do.

since last saturday I've shot 6. Two really nice bucks in there too, maybe 130-150 pounds. Of course I shot them under slightly different circumstances than the rest of you guys...

my buddy shot a doe saturday morning.

I saw a doe by her self and let her walk, as soon as she got in the woods I heard one chasing her. A small six came out later, never could get a clean shot on anything.
