I ran Big Creek Saturday, really nice trails. Very dry when we were there and found one rattlesnake momma with her brood on one trail.

That's why the one trail there is called Rattlesnake. :) It's pretty common to see them there up around all that natural rock. It's a cool spot. We have a few mil groups there this week off and on.

This is on Rattlesnake trail this past January.. Nice and cold and wet!

I was driving an FZJ80 and some of it was tight, driving it wet with a bigger truck would be a course in reading braille.

Ive actually only been to Big Creek in the winter time. Its either been raining or snowing.. One of these days I'd like to go when its dry!!

And it looks like this trip wont be any different. Rain expected all 4 days of the event :banghead:

Fortunately it drains pretty well over there and it's not the clay/mud that is more prevalent at the forest. But regardless it's gonna be a lot of work. I believe a few of our instructors will be running around down there this weekend.

Have fun.

Put more than five rovers together and it just starts raining. Remember the 10 inches of rain at MAR? We could hold 3 Rover events in Claifornia and fix the drought.

So it rained the whole weekend! The trails were like snot, but I had a blast. Lots of cool rigs out wheeling.

This was on Friday. The 5 ton camper slid off the trail... that was fun!
