There were only two Rovers there. Myself and Dave Burgess. Hopefully we can get more next year!

I might be interested. Although from reading the description it sounded more like the learn how to rub sticks together and start a fire than a wheeling event. I'll have to get some details from you next time.

Not at all!

This was my first time attending this event and I have to say it was way cool.
A couple of key points that set this event off from the others:

1) The camping was in the huge field and tree line at the UORTC so there was more than enough space for all the people camping without being on top of each other.

2) Its not just a wheeling event. Meaning they had mountain bike rides along with kayaking and canoeing trips planned. You choose what you want to do.

3) The event registration cost only $40 and that INCLUDES a Tshirt AND one raffle ticket. Which I think is nice, since Ive seen people drop $200 on raffle tickets just so they can win it all. My buddy won a 60 watt solar kit.

4) You get to wheel on private trails that are not usually open to the public.

5) Its not a brand specific event, so you get to see some really unique rigs. There were two unimogs all the way to a 1958 International Harvester 4 door pickup... and yes they were all wheeling!

6) All the money from the event gets donated right back to the local community. In this case they donated all the money to the El dorado community center.

This was only the second year this event was held, and I wouldnt doubt that it will fill again quickly next year!

Seems like a good alternative to spending $200+ to listen to a bunch of KoA campers get off over titanium cookware. How many rigs were out there?

Well registration was limited to 120 vehicles and it filled. Unfortunately the weather made a lot of people cancel. But we still had 60-70 show up.

Cool. I'll have to check it out next year. Like that they hit on a variety of outdoor things as opposed to strictly wheeling
