230 swap

I've searched but want to confirm by beeeep fix.

Swapped a '98 230 into my 95 SWB. All done but got the constant beeeep.

I cut the neutral switch plug off the BW. Spliced the wires together, plugged into harness and beep is gone.

Has anyone found any problems doing this and/or come up with a better solution?

Also, it looks like I have a couple flat plugs on the harness that could clip on to a diff lock indicator. They weren't plugged in to anything before. Any experience with these??

On one of my old ones I ran a wire from the cigarette lighter to the spot to the difflock switch on the case, then to a wire that I put into the harness connector that plugs into the cluster corresponding with the difflock light... but I can't remember if it worked. discoinjapan owns that truck now.
