I put the 235/85 in the spare spot in the RRC. I know some of you have said it is possible to get it in there, how? It seems impossible, I thought about beating the floor out with a hammer, but it still wont fit front to back. I imagine I could let some air out and get it in but that defeats the purpose of the spare. I havent even thought about relocating the seat belt tensioner. Looks like it will have to stay on top.

I think it could be possible I beat on it a little but its a brand new BFG MT, I think if it was worn some it may work but Im not convinced yet. I searched and the general consensus is to hammer it out. I think an old MT would fit with ease.

Relocating the seat belt tensioner is pretty easy - guy in our club did that to fit his 235 85's. No Hammer necessary...

Does a 245/75 fit any easier?

I had to raise the mount about an inch and move it forward about 3/4 inch to make a 245/75 fit in mine. I'm not sure I could have gotten a 235/85 in there.

These things take time, the RRC has been disabled for almost 4 months.

WTH Phillip?

I'll give you $800 for it....

FWIW, I have the exact same truck, running 265/75s---no way they will fit in the pocket.
When I ran 245's I just welded a nut higher and still used the original bolt/latch thing.
Now I just lay the spare flat in the back and strap my travel box on top.
If I need extra room on a trip, I just put the spare on the roofrack.

Here's a few pictures of a bracket I made to relocate the buckle up higher to fit my 235/85. A little hammering was needed as mentioned. I went an inch or two higher than needed but no harm with that. Make sure to keep the angle of the retracting reel (not sure what to call it) the same as the factory had it otherwise the belt won't work - play around with it after you unbolt it and you'll see what i'm talking about.
