did a search and see that lots of Disco guys run this tire size... anyone run these on an RRC. Wondering if i'll need to trim or get spring or body spacers.... I would like to widen my stance w/ some steelies and wider tires for on road stability...

need to install my poly trailing arm bushings... actually the whole set I have, but have been too lazy :banghead:

Ive got 235.85 on standard 3 spokes with a 1.5-2" lift
Had some rubbing but adjusting the steeringstops
sorted that.
They articulate fine and dont rub offroad.
I would imagine 265 on larger offset wheels you may have probs
with the tyres rubbing/catching the arces whilst articulating

I've got 265-75 on my RRC. Started with a OME medium with rear 1" spacers. Got rubbing in the rear, and have since gone to OME extraHD. On the front, I have reduced turning radius, and need to extend my stops. Moved my medium rears to the front to match ride height. Also, remember that you will have less get up and go from the larger and heavier tires. I switched to 4:11's which helped some.

I am using the standard 3 spokes. I would assume that if you increased your offset, that you would rub. The HD's should work fine, but it depends how aggresive you get. I found that the more that I do via mods, the more aggresive I get, and thus, I need to change more. Evolution.

Whats wrong with the 245's? My wifes RRC has the same OME setup and 245/75-16 seems to be the perfect size tire for the 2" OME lift.

The 245's aren't bad and I really like my tires, but i'm just considering something wider for stability. The truck is kinda squirrely on the freeway, especially at high speeds...

Have any pics of your truck. I guess I could consider getting new tires and putting them on my stock alloys.

I have rubbing on the front radius arms running 245/75 r16 MTRs with the 3 spokes and a 2" OME HD spring and shock combo. I have adjusted the steering stops all the way in. I have been to lazy to find longer bolts to do the job. I get a little rubbing in the rear when under articulation. Just my experience.

Have you fixed your caster angle? Swivel Preload?

I don't think 265/75s will fix your problem. If the 265/75 where the same height as your 245/75s then it would make a difference. Since they are taller the extra width only compensates for their added height.

I haven't ever thought to take any pictures of it. I have been busy just using it over the years. If you would like a shot, I could do that.

I run the 265/75/16s on my RRC no problems. What is probably rubbing in the back is the lip on the inside of the fender well. Roll that in and you won't have any problems, also you might want to consider some heavy duty extended trailing arms. And if you don't want to rub in the front, stop turning the wheel so far.

OME HD front
OME extra HD rear

great tire for the classic....fits great with a HD lift or 2-3 inch lift....oh by the way...do not put poly bushes on....do not hold up....stick with factory rubber for bushes..my 2 cents.

i ran the 245/75s for a year on 3" and it was fab. I then stepped up to 33s and alls I really had to do was roll in the body tab (like beachbum said) and trim some off the corners and i could have rocked out like that.

but then I got a sheetmetal nibbler :D
