Hey guys

I have a 02D2 with a ARB bullbar and as a result I have half a butchered plastic mud guard protecting the washer bottle in the front left wheel well that was left by the dealer when the vehicle was collected three years ago. One large mud bog leads to another and this thing is now rat sh?t. So I go buy a sheet of 2mm checker plate aluminium to fix me a more permanent solution (I hate a dirty windscreen - and we've go the worlds biggest, gooy-ist bugs down here).

Just want to pick the brains trust as the best way to bend and cut this stuff. Will a big wooden vice surfice? Will a Dremel do the business?

thanks in advance

gtt

Greg,
On my '99 DII w/ ARB, I took some thinner sheet metal and cut and bent it just as you are wanting to do. The metal I used was not thick enough to require a vice to bend it, for I used the edge of my sidewalk. I did use cardboard to make a template prior to cutting. When finished, I used some 3M undercoating from a rattle can to spray it to protect it. Has worked great for me thus far.
