OK so I know there are a million posts on this, but there was one post in particular where someone called out all 4 issues in detail and how they can be fixed. They explained the different pricing options per different repair option and that LR sort of recognized this was a problem and released a fix kit that cost a fraction of the $2500 ABS repair.

Problem is that was a few years back and the only real time my 3 amigos come on is when is Wet or damp. I never see them in the summer only fall and spring and periodically in the winter when the weather warms up a bit.

Can anyone help me find this thread, weblink or detail it out for me? My mechanic would like to read on all the options I have read to do a less cost problem determination to save me cash, he has error codes (seem to be electrical errors) so combined with that the information anyone can give me he will have an idea.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help and Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian counterparts!

Can't you just email a 12mb file? I've converted the above link to a 6 mb PDF let me know if anyone wants it.

I just had the three amigos pop up on my 2000, mine is constant though, as soon as you turn the truck on they're on. I replaced brakes (front only so far, trying to get rear done today or next weekend). no luck with the lights. Anyway, I'm trying to find a scanner to get the codes, however I see parted out ABS modulators cheap ($80), I'm curious if it's worth buying one of these because I'm under the impression that they can be refurbished. I'm assuming my problem is related to the pump so I was thinking about picking up a cheap one to get ready to install so that I can drop it in place of the old one which can then serve as a spare. Just curious what others thoughts on this are. As I said, I haven't read the codes so I don't know the cause yet (working on that now), but it just seemed for $80 picking that up a complete spare pump to refurbish wasn't a bad idea.

Out of curiosity, does anybody have an idea what typically causes the lights to be constant? It seems like most people describe this as an intermittent problem. Mine popped on last weekend while driving, I heard a few dings then all of the lights came on and always come on as soon as the truck turned on.

FYI, this is not my daily driver so I have the ability to take my time with this, although it is due for inspection this month and I'm assuming it won't pass with multiple warning lights on, although the brakes seem unaffected other than there being no ABS.

Pretty much anything can cause a constant fault. Shuttle valve switches can fail, or just the connector in the modulator. I've never had to replace a faulty modulator, so I wouldn't think you need that. It could also be a bad connection at one of the hubs.

When I installed the lift on my 2003, I disconnected a sensor or two when I had the shocks out, to put the bigger springs in. I guess the key must have been on. Anyway when I was done I had a hard fault for a sensor. I had to clear to code to make the lights go off.

How do you clear the codes? Do you need a reader?

If the fault doesn't clear on it's own you do need a special tool. I have a hawkeye and a nanocom. For D2 I recommend nanocom for anyone thinking of getting a rover specific tool. It's cheaper than other stuff (comparing list prices) and does more.

n00b to Discos. Got the 3 Amigos last night after a short hour long drive. The faults cleared with a key cycle. My question is when this happens again what are my options? I have been reading past posts on this issue, still confused on a fix. I also read this is a common problem with DIIs so shouldn't LR have addressed this issue? JS.
