3 amigos - light sequence?!

When the truck is started, the ABS light is on FIRST.

Then after 1-2 seconds, the TC and HDC lights go on at the same time. Do the lights usually go on together? Or this sequence is implying something, for example, the problem lies on the sensor rather than the ABS unit?

Many thanks.

I do not know if the sequence means anything specific. You could pull the code and that might help. There a huge amount of posts on the three amigos, and their possible causes. I do know that mine had the same sequence when I had the three amigos.

no, all it means was there was a fault when the truck was shut down. it has to drive over 5mph or so to reset... but since there is still a fault, the other two pop on.

invest in an abs amigo. only thing it cant read is if the slabs module took a dump

That's what I am struggling, whether I should buy an ABS sensor (which is highly possible the root cause) or use the same amount of money to get an ABS amigo or spend more to get an hawkeye!

the ABS Amigo worked great for me.. you'll have to replace whatever part has gone wrong & reset the codes as well.

Ground faults are pretty common I might just reset the codes and wait to se if the lights pop back on.

Another vote for the ABS amigo. Whatever the fault, you can expect the warning lights to appear again at some point. May need a simple reset or part replacement but, no there's no guess work with the ABS amigo.

The first use I found convenient, the second time I considered it money well spent.
