327 V8 for DI?

My dad's old Chev has a very low mileage 327 V8 that I was thinking of salvaging... any thoughts on whether it would make a good engine swap for a Disco I? My engine is ok for now, but as will all of you, it weeps, and eventually needs some work.

Thoughts?
