I have four Land Rover Discoveries for sale, located in New Hamburg, Ontario, Canada. I kind of inherited them a few months ago. I had plans for them, but plans change and they're for sale now. None of them is a driver at the moment. Well, one is licensed and on the road but it has engine problems that I'm not going to fix.

I got these from a friend's father who was a Land Rover guy. Unfortunately he was very sick and has since passed away. Due to his condition I was not able to get very many details on the trucks.

So here's what I have:

#1 Black 1995 300tdi auto
This has the 300tdi out of a 1997+ Discovery with EDC (electronic drive control? Drive-by-wire throttle, whatever it stands for). This truck looks pretty complete, except that the top end of the engine and the bottom appear to be disconnected. We're going with a likely broken timing belt, although I haven't pulled the engine apart to determine.

The short story is that the previous owner bought this from someone on Vancouver Island while on vacation there. They drove it around out there a bit, and "a belt kept slipping off" so they decided to ship it back to Ontario. I get the feeling they must have driven it here some more and then maybe the timing belt broke so they parked it.

#2 White 1996 Discovery with 200tdi and 5spd
Apparently this drivetrain was super strong and ran great, but the Discovery just fell apart around it. The owner bought the other black 3.9V8 to transplant this drivetrain into that vehicle, but fell ill before he could do the job. I haven't tried to turn this over as it's been sitting for a couple years, so I'm just going on what I was told.

#3 Black 1995 3.9V8
I got this one back on the road over the winter as it was the closest to being roadworthy. It needed a new starter, windscreen, small exhaust leak welded, some fixes to door locks and windows and a couple other small things. Really it was surprisingly clean in many ways. It still had the dealership plastic under the floor mats. I've enjoyed driving this truck SO MUCH. I used to have a 1996 Discovery when I lived in California years ago and it just brought a smile to my face every time I drove it. Not so much when filling the tank with premium. Unfortunately there's a problem with a leak through the head or head gasket. I'm trying to simplify my life, and I have to just write off this project now and move on. Everything pretty much works in this truck except for rear wiper/defroster, and cruise control. Oh, and the stereo buttons beside the steering wheel, but I think that whole button set is disconnected somewhere.

#4 Green 4.0V8 parts truck.
Not much more to say here. Nice leather interior I was going to move into one of the other trucks.

I had this great idea I was going to get both black trucks running. I even had sequential license plate numbers for them. They match pretty much entirely, down to brush guards, running boards, and tail light covers (off one truck in the photos). I would have felt like Kim Dotcom with his Good/Evil Mercedes. OK maybe not a lot like him.

I honestly have no idea how much these trucks are worth. So, I'm going to start off at higher than I personally think they're worth. I plan to reduce the price by 10% per week until they sell. The price is for either diesel truck, and if you are the first buyer of one of the diesels, you get to take one of the gas ones for the price. Meaning, if you buy one of the diesel trucks for $x, I'll also throw in your pick of one of the gas trucks along with the price, if you want it. First come, first served. This may change at any time if I sell the V8 separately, or just change my mind because I'm mercurial that way.

Starting price: C$7,000 or US$5,250.

OK then. Photos will be in separate posts below to keep one vehicle from the others.

Thanks for reading,
- Andrew.
