Hey guys,

I just put in OME 762 rear springs in the front of my DII and got like 4" of lift and it rides great! Obviously the alighnment is off because of the Pan hard rod. How do I go about lenghtening the rod? Any ideas other than contacting RTE and buying the adjustable one, I am low on funds:(

Should I extend the stock rod with an adjustable Heim joint? If so how many inches?

Rovertym was just sold....AGAIN. It took forever for me to get my stuff and was missing items in the shipment. If you have another source go with it. Very disappointed with them.

yes they sold...to one of their inside guys that has been doing most the work.

Jordan rocks and has shown nothing but the intention to continue in the long established way of rovertym customer service.

I am a huge fan of rovertym and will continue to be one...great stuff at very fair prices with attention to detail and great customer service!!

Dude 762's provide like 1.5", maybe 2" of lift when they are new. There is no way you got 4" with them unless you have a 2" spring spacer under it. You shouldn't need to do anything to the pan hard rod with those springs up front...

I was wondering how he got 4" of lift with those springs. I have them as well and they only gave me 2" of lift, if that...

Really? Mabey because I had a brushguard up front along with my bumper which made me 2" or so lower from the get go... check out the pics!

So... should I leave the Pan hard rod alone and just get it allighned?

your drag link and panhard are at the exact same angle...you shouldent need to do anything.

the only thing a alignment does on these is set the toe in and correct the drag link length so the steering wheel is straight.

I figured if the axle dropped that much it would bring my axle in a little towards the driver side since the pan hard rod attaches to the frame on the driverside which in turn pulls a little on my steering tie rod??

Stock shocks for now. I have to drop my front crossmember so my shaft does not hit with longer shocks. I just put in the springs on Tuesday... So, what should I do about my pan hard rod? My steering wheel is to the right. Please help!

As long as it drives pretty straight without any bump steer, I'd leave it be. A crooked steering will is no big deal. You get used to it.

Yeah, it looks close to four inches. You can remove the crossmember and be fine as well.

I'm rolling close to 5" and dont have any steering issues. The steering wheel is a little right of center but it doesnt bother me.

Where are these guys coming from?!

So I am guessing you are rolling RTE 5" springs with no steering issues...

Well my steering is off and pulls to the right. It makes sense to me that the axle's geometry is off. I figured the axle is know shifted a little towards the driverside and is pulling on the steering tie rods which is causing it to pull to the right. My question is if its ok to leave it like that and just adjust the steering tie rod OR cut my stock pan hard rod and weld in two threaded bungs off of some heim joints and use a threaded rod to connect the stock rod and stock joint at the fram location. (the stock joint is 1.5" wide along with the bushing so getting a heim joint that wide is tough)

Rover 4x4 , its a Disco II am i not able to pull the shock tower off and pull the shocks out the top?
If not, doing double work is what makes having a rover fun... I now know a little more about my truck:)

I just found out the rod is solid. I think I will just buy the Rovertym rod, $185 including the bushings is not bad...
