I doubt anyone has had any ill-effects of not having a crossmember on the 3"+ lifts - I still think making my spacers was a waste of time. However, having the crossmember in it's stock location with 3"+ springs is a recipe for damage to shaft and Tcase / Oil Pan. IMHO.

Thanks guys!

I just cut up 3/8" thick 2" square tubbing the lenght of the crossmember bracket and drilled the holes. I will use the stock bolts to bolt it up to the frame and will get some grade 8 bolts tomorrow to bolt up the crossmember. This should get me the clearance I need.

I think i will mess around and do the same for the shocks but with 3" square tubing. I will cut the corners to form a diamond shape so it fits in the coils, bolt it up to the perch and notch the top so the stock shock sits and bolt it up. Voila, I will get back the 3" i lost. Just for now until I get my shocks!
