7 inch round headlights in a D1

Hello All
Has any one put 7inch round headlights in a D1. I was wondering if the parts from a RRC could be bolted into the front of a D1 in order to install Some Nice Cibie headlights in a D1.

An 03-04 headlight upgrade would be easier and have a much better light pattern. But if you want Cibies, you can get an early D1 grille (non US spec) with rectangular sealed beams.

There's more rangie there than just lights/grill.

I think I've seen pics of the red one as well, which is the same.

Not saying it can't be done, but those have the RRC hood and everything.

Yea, Charles Allen's (superposer) son had an accident with his disco and they put on a RRC frontend.

That's funny because I was wondering something similar this weekend. But I was wondering how difficult it would be to put a Series III or Defender front end on a DI. I must of had something funny for dinner the other night (or maybe too much home brew) because I was having weird Rover dreams:drink:
