88 RRC Window Motor

I've got a dead window motor in my front passenger window. I have a motor from a newer RRC, but the plugs are not the same. My old motor has a flat 2 wire connector where the new one has a round connector. Would the newer motor work if I were to replace the connector?

Early DI's ('94-mid '95) in this country used the same motors with the flat two pin plugs as the early NAS RRC's.

FYI the front and rear motors are not interchangeable on RRC's and early DI's the way they are on very late '95 RRC's and post mid '95 DI's.
