I'm selling my Roman Bronze RRC with 160,000 miles
4.2 with 60k
Trans was replaced under warranty at 65,000 miles
New AC Compressor and Condensor Dryer less than 500 miles ago, blows ice cold
GBR rear axles
DII front shafts
ARB's front and rear
Rovertym 3 inch HD springs
Rovertym Radius Arms
Rovertrax Trailing Arms
Extended Brakes lines
Cross Drilled and Slotted rotors from AB
Sewer Capped Diffs
Relocated steering dampner
ARB Winch Bar
Super Winch E.P. 9
Hella 4000 Compacts wired to factory switch
Larry Grubbs rear bumper with swingaway tire carrier, gas can holder and High Lift Mount (60inch High Lift included)
Full length roof rack
Custom Sound System
Boston Auccoustics Pro Mids and Tweeters
Audiobahn 10in sub in custom fiberglass box in factory location
ADS power 1000 watts
all meant to look as close to stock as possible.

I'm the second owner and bought this from my friends father who bought it new from Cutter Motors in Santa Barbara. California all it's life apart from the occasional Baja trip. Virtually rust free everywhere.

The original 3.9 was overheated due to a headgasket issue and the 4.2 was installed with 40K miles by Gerry Barrigan of OC Rovers, he's also the guy building the LR3 and a Classic for this years Baja 1K. All other work has been done at XK's Unlimitted in San Luis Obispo and West Coast Rovers Eddie Bostock. Everything has always been repaired correctly with factory parts by factory techs.

The previous owner waxwd this truck within in an inch of it's life so the paint looks great except for the usual desert pinstriping. There is one good dent on the passenger side rear door.

Everything Electric works but the rear defrost, the contact was sperated from the window and I have never been able to get it to conect well enough to work. Unless you know how to solder (sp?) metel contacts to glass.

I'm sure there are things I have forgot so feel free to email me with any questions.

This truck is very clean inside and out for a 16 year old truck, I would like to get $7,500 and do not want to part it out.

Thanks for reading,

Paul Schuetz

Thanks Guys, I know I'm going to shoot myself for selling it but I don't plan on being back in the states for some time. I've also got a line on a couple of Series when I get back to Spain. I think it would be a shame to leave it in a barn to sit.

Thanks, Paul

Sounds like a LOT of replacement parts and different things have been done to this Rover. I trust you have all the paperwork to back up the work done, including the transmission and engine? Those are questions I would ask if I were going to go with your Rover. It doesn't look like it's lifted, but you state the Rovertym springs which should give a decent lift. Maybe you should post more pictures.

That pic was taken with the OME extra HD setup. I would have to dig for the paperwork for the trans, as it was done while it was still owned by my friends father. I have known this truck since it came of the showroom floor. Before I bought it everything had been done at Cutter Motors in Santa Barbara (LR Dealership where it was purchased). I'll try to resize a few more pic's when I get a chance this evening.

Thanks, Paul

Paul's truck is awesome. Runs fantastic, extremely capable, looks superb, and that sound system is really nice and tight. I tried to buy it from the bastard half a dozen times over the past year or two, and now he is finally selling it and I no longer can move on it. I hate irony sometimes!

Nightmare Gulch, a short little wash canyon in the Red Rock Canyon state park, on the northern end of the Mojave desert. Fun little trail. Not difficult, but just enough challenge to be entertaining, with really cool geological & erosion created formations all around.

Well what do you think it would be worth and how would you justify it? I've seen bone stock in worse condition with the same milaege go for $3500.00 then start sourcing all of the upgrades. I think it is more than fair.

Paul,
The best way to measure what it will sell for is to post on as many sites as possible at the price you want. The most important being eBay. There it will be exposed to not only domestic but international buyers. On eBay, I recommend starting the auction with a very low number, keep your reserve at the very lowest price you would consider and a Buy It Now at what you really want for it. The market will dictate worth.

Ok guys here we go. I'm dropping the price here on Dweb to $6800.00 and am listing it on Ebay with a $7000.00 reserve. I'm also going to throw in the Magellan Streetmate 700 I have in it. I thought $7500.00 was more than fair. I would hope someone else from this forum would pick it up and use it for what's it's been built for, improve upon, whatever. But that's neither here nor there.

I am going to kep the front liscence plate as a momento though.

Looking forward to the feedback,

Paul
