Was wondering if you can replace a classic wabco pump with one from a p38. Are the pump motors the same. any help greatly appreciated.

Damn. Thought i would be able to remove the accumulator and extend the hydraulic line to the p38 pump.

I read somewhere on these board (3 to 5 yrs ago) where a member had found a couple of p38 units and retrofitted them onto his classics because the classic part was not available.
I think it is possible with a lttle custom work, if Im not mistaken you can retrofit a p38 part into a classic but not a classic into a p38...

I did away with the pump all together, I used a 2000 D2 brake cylinder and power unit, and early D110 parts, Defender rotors and calipers, you can use all the parts from a D1 They all bolt on with no fab except for the brake lines. Those pumps are getting real hard to find.
