95 Classic Key Remote

I just bought a replacement key remote for my 95 Classic and the procedure for resetting the alarm cpu from the manual didn't work. Is there a trick that I don't know about?

Than there is an issue. Could be the remote it's self, the receiver (read antenna) or the ecu. Do you have any other remotes? If so do they work?

The procedure for synchronizing the remote is tough with one person. Maybe get someone on the hood button during the process?

It's a one button remote and maybe I need to try two people with the procedure.
