I got a call the other day from a gentleman I have known for close to twenty years but haven't seen him for awhile. He has owned at least 10 different Land Rovers that I can think of. Anyway he is considering selling his '95 D1 5 speed. It has 85,000 miles on it always used Red Line fluids which were changed every 5,000 miles since the 1,000 mile inspection. I used to work on his vehicles until I left dealerland in '99, at that time this one had about 50,000 miles on it. It has always been kept in a heated garage and never offroad. No dents, scratches or leaks according to him, I'm going to inspect it this weekend. It has an ARB non-winch bumper and a snorkel (I'm not sure why). What do you guys think this thing might be worth?

Thanks,

Dennis

if it's as cherry as you describe and the miles are true, then I'd put it at $5,000.

Southeast Michigan, hows the rust.

I haven't seen it since about 5 years ago. I'm going to check it out on Saturday,I'll let you know what I find. My '98 isn't too bad and I've been operating here for 6 years,it came from N.J.

Someone here at work has a 94-95 white D1 with 50,000 miles. Someday I am going to leave a note on his window.

Haha, we all think alike!

There is a guy who lives across from campus with a white, stock, 94-96 DI...he works at the Martin gas station b/c I have also seen it there (couldn't miss the McCain/Palin sticker). I swear it must have low miles b/c it doesn't move much!
I was thinking about leaving a card with him so he will know who to call when he decides to sell!

I checked this rig out last weekend. It was too good to be true. It has been used little in the last 5 years and has sat outside. The engine and transmission are strong. However, there are several other mechanical items that need to be addressed but the kicker is the sill plates are rotting through. I'm not mess with this one I don't need a restoration project right now. I'll keep my '98 most a couple more items and I'll have it at 98% mechanically.
