95 D1 with no sunroofs.
I’ve got a leak in the drivers footwell that I’m thinking is coming from the drain. No sign of a leak anywhere so I’m guessing it’s from behind the panel that has some electrical connections. What’s the best way to clean out the line or replace? I’ve followed it back to the passenger rear but can’t find where the line starts.

SUPER common fault on D1's, is the sealer down the windsheil pillar, under the plastic scuttle panel and down the A pillar behind the fender - the sealer is comeplete crap and shrinks/cracks and no longer seals. There is a massive hole at the windsheild pillar base, that the sealer allows water into.
The whole pillar needs stripping and resealing.

The large hole is up behind the rubber trim along the screen base. Directly behind the square protrusion in my pic. If you look at my previous pic (which does have the trim removed), you can see it - You may be able to do it without removing the trim. If you use my pic as a guide, and maybe remove the lower screen trim? Or at least fold it up.

Once the sealer is out of the hole, you could just about jam a pencil in it - it's really quite big!

(PS - PLEASE don't use silicone on bodywork. Urethane, seam sealer, or polymer etc are good choices - designed for bodywork and painting, and certainly better than the original stuff)

I was able to get to mine by pulling the trim. Its raining today so I'll see how the fix did. I also put some flashing tape on for good measure.
