So I I have an update! Replace fuel pump wouldn’t start. So after talking to a mechanic friend set it to TDC and I had my wires off by one from where the rotor was pointing. So I moved the wires one counter clockwise. She fired up and ran perfect…. Let it run to charge for a while no issues. Drove got gas and came over a bridge it back fired sputtered and died would not start. Got it home we checked no spark from cap. Put the original rotor back on and it fired up and is running perfect. My mechanic friend is worried that it jumped time but he said that he couldn’t hear any slack from the timing chain. So that may not be the issue. So he thought that the distributor may have a broke tooth or could have been put in wrong at some time. So now it’s running perfect on the old rotor. I’m going to keep it close to home for a while.
