cant get the damn thing to work. everything checks out, but no luck. i even changed the MFU and the whole fuse box to be sure. i ground the PY wire on the MFU and it works as normal, but for some reason cant get the MFU to do it on its own.

there is a relay, also it is temperature controlled I think the windshield temp needs to be some where below 30 or 40 deg f. for it to work.. also due to the large amount of power it uses the engine need to be running the mfu needs to see an rpm signal.

thanks for the info! started it up this morning at it works! never knew it had to be running, i'll never know if it was the MFU or the fuse block, but i'm just happy to be able to send it on its way.

yeah the owners manual states it shall be running in order for the windshield defrost to work due the large amount of current it draws.
go figure a land rover with power drain issues and you need to keep it running so it does not suffer a drain.
per factory instructions, priceless.
