97 D1 Brake hose X-ref

I blew my front brake hose yesterday in the Pines. Of course, calling an auto part store for a brake hose on a 97 Land Rover leaves them in total confusion just spouting words like "special order", "2 weeks", "pay up front" etc.

It's Sunday, and I'd like to get to work on Monday (don't want to drive 120 miles with a vise grip clamped to my hose).. I did that once coming back from the pines already.

Does anybody know if there is a commonly available front brake hose that will fit a 97 Disco?

Jaime, I do not know of a cross over # but you could go with a factory replacement over nighted from a parts outlet. There are several in the resources section on this board. HTH

Thanks for replying back. I can get one today (Monday) locally from the dealer for $70 or at a foreign parts place for $55.

I can't stand getting ripped off!!

Call RTE and get a SS line to replace it. Overnighted would still be cheaper. If it can wait and you want to replace all, I am heading to RTE this weekend to pick up a couple bumpers and I can bring them back for you on Sunday.

I ordered a set from Steve at RTE and he's overnighting them to me. I should have them tomorrow afternoon.
