Hi - just in case there is a Vancouver area off-roader looking for a Disco I, here is my listing.

I've owned this 97 Disco for 9 of it's 10 years - I am thinking of upgrading to a newer model Disco II, and thought there might be someone on this board that is interested in my 97. As you can see from the pic below, it is a Rioja Red model, with dealer-installed Land Rover tan leather seats. Aside from this option, it is an "S" model.

The winch and fog lights were stolen a year ago, and I have a open claim with ICBC to replace them. Here is a list of the minor modifications:

Land Rover OEM brush guard and winch basket with roller fairlead
Land Rover OEM tailgate ladder
Land Rover OEM taillight guards
Land Rover OEM bumper light guards (rusted, but salvage-able)
Land Rover OEM heavy duty front springs
Pirelli Scorpion AT 245s (~35 tread left) - spare is same
Alpine CD head unit and underseat 6-CD changer, Alpine amplifier, Infinity rear and Boston Acoustics front speakers

I kept this vehicle in a garage for all but the last 3 years, so it's pretty clean. The rear bumper has some rust, and the left bumper cap is a little loose, as one of the screws fell off, and I haven't gotten around to securing it. There is a bush scratch that goes down the right side; it is imperceptible from 10 feet away. The interior looks great - I'd give the passenger area a 9 out of 10, and the cargo area a 6 out of 10.

I have been doing all the regular maintenance at LR Richmond, and have been through some of the big ticket items like new PS pump, new fuel pump, etc. I have a binder with all the records/receipts for this vehicle. It has the typical "weeping" seals on the diffs etc., but not leaking anything. e.g. I can go for an entire oil-change period without having to "top up" the oil. It has new rear brakes and about 80% left up front. AC has given me no trouble, and blows cold.

As for duty/use, I drove this vehicle as a daily-driver for ~7 years (12 kms each way) and then to Whistler skiing and trips to Kamloops to go fishing. My off-roading consisted of "getting there", not seeking trouble to get into - i.e. 300 kms of highway, 10 kms of forestry road, then 2 kms of diff-lock, 1st gear. I have never used her for mud-bogging, wading or rock-crawling; the winch was only ever used to recover other vehicles or pull firewood out of the bush.

Price? That depends. If you want the brand new, Warn XD9000 and new Bosch fog lights, the price is probably around $7,500. Without them, I'm thinking $6,300 - both negotiable.
