Why do you think it’s the alarm?
Can you hear the pump prime?
Have you tried running a hot wire to the fuel pump harness to verify it works?
Does the truck crank?
Do you have the key fob?

give us a little more info and we can give you some suggestions. I don’t want to start throwing out ideas until more is know.

What year? Is there a red light on under the instrument panel? U can try running power to the white purple wire at the fuel pump (d1 not sure on D2), like lunchbox said. We need to know more to help though. Also check the inertia switch as well

It's a 1997 Land Rover Discovery, yes the stupid light stopped but I don't know if I have a bad alternator or battery or maybe both but it cranked up then I put it in reverse and all the other gears and it won't budge.. I don't know what the clutch thing is in front of the gear selector and nor do i know how to use a clutch if thats what it is. What's y'all's opinion on this??

So.. it starts and runs now but doesn't move?

I'm Guessing your alarm FOB was never pushed and you Now you have fuel and crank.

As for no movement, that second gear shifter in front of the other NEEDS to be into a gear selection, or you won't move anywhere. Make sure it's into either High or Low gear and not Neutral!

So to be clear…it starts and runs, but won’t move in gear? You hear a noise when in gear? If the above is true, your transfer case is in neutral. Make sure the little knob is bottom right.

Okay as of right now the fuel pump does not want to engage the inertia switch seems to be broken the battery is bad the alarm light is blinking I put the gear select your back where it needs to be because it was bumped by accident I'm doing everything in my power to try to get it to go but I don't know if the fuel pump went out on me or what's going on because even turning the ignition switch it's just crazy it just won't turn over but it wants to go it's just not getting gas

From what I can gather is you have been at this for a while and there is quite a rats nest of wires going on there..

First off, you are STILL immobilized from what I can gather.. Whatever wires you twisted on the ECU isn't right, correct or complete; I'm guessing you got it to crank and thought you was done with it.

Try typing 1515 or 5151 into the drivers door lock (unlock 1, lock 5 times, repeat) and see if you can get it to "mobilize" and start..

Could try to jumper over the inertia switch if you think that is the problem..

Thridly that wire on the alternator looks like you crimped around the plastic sheathing and not the wire itself.. BUT even with the alternator removed from the vehicle it should still crank and start! If it is cranking, I'm not sure why you are worried about the battery or alternator being the issue?

First of all, I watched your video and my money is on "the fuel pumps feed tube" is broken. I can hear it crank and 'run' for a very short time it just doesn't stay running. So open the rear door and remove the inspection panel, lock ring and pull the fuel assy out. I bet you will SEE the problem. Also a good time to check the power wires going to the pump with a volt meter to comfirm the pump is getting power.

And lastly, had you provided adequate information in the original post (Cranks, sputters, but doesn't stay running) we could have helped you a little better and before you hacked away at wiring over a bad fuel pump. I thought I provided good help and wasn't rude one bit; but I can flip that switch if you would like?
