98 D1 with noisy blower motor?

I have a 98 D1 with a heater blower moter that is making a ticking sound. A sound that get louder the higher the fan goes. Almost like a baseball card in bike spokes. How hard is it to replace the motor??

3 screws Pull it out they tend to suck leaves in and make a similar sound

Hmmm, mine just started doing this. Not that loud but annoying to me nonetheless. I'll have to check for a leaf, I guess.

I did just have my windshield replace, I wonder if a piece of old rubber or glue got into it?
