98 Disco rear differential question

I just pulled the rear diff out of my 98 disco and the pin that holds the diff. gears in place has broke in half. My question is should I replace all the gears and pinion bearing? The ring and pinion look ok but I know there is metal everywhere. Since I need a new carrier would it be better to look for a complete unit to bolt back up?

you can pick up a used complete healthy 3rd member for cheap. Usually around 100$. it should take you less than an hour to swap it out.
