98D1 dyes on the side of the road

On my way home from work and my truck dyed out had a fuel pressure gauge on vehicle the truck has good pressure I think the heat is an issue vehicle cool down and it started but it was sputtering and couldn't give it any gas then it dyed out Iam thinking it might be the crankshaft sensor but not sure any ideas
