99 discoII help multi question???

I have a 99 disco II with 175000 miles on it and need to fix some issues. My disco has a 4.0 and i have not overheated it but have recently changed the hoses and replaced the thermostat with the colder one and replaced the coolant with Peak Global. is there any other mod i need to do to help the 4.0 last longer?

next is i have the passenger side rear door won't open for some reason. it won't unlock with the fob and the interior handle wont unlock it either. i need to find a way to open the door so i can access the internals and replace the internals. have any tips? or special tools after i get it open to get the door panel off?


next is the cowling over the gauges is loose and flops around because the tabs that the screws go through are broken. where can i get a new cowl or a fix???


the front sunroof leaks and i have cleaned the drain tubes. any suggestions???

check the fan clutch and water pump as well.

it is stuck in superlock mode. you have to roll the window down, take the lower seal off and break the actuator. and get someone with a T4 or other to disable superlock completely.

Plastic washers, or velcro works.

are you sure its the sunroof and not the roof rails? they leak too.

Super lock is enabled by its own motor inside of the actuator. If it breaks or something else in the actuator goes bad, then just that one door will stay stuck in super lock. I guess.

I can hear the actuator trying to work but it sounds like it is stuck. could you describe with a little more detail after i lower the window just what i can take off to access the actuator?

any suggestions of how to get to the actuator to break it? do i take the rubber window trim off with the window down?
