Thanks for the thumbs up.

These really are at cost here - I know nobody ever believes it.... but look around at what they sell for. Unless you buy in HUGE bulk (or used/returned/refurb crap) nobody can beat these prices and be making anything.

Doug.

EDIT: If these don't seem to move here i will be putting them on ebay at some point. I'll give the Dweb some time though! They will be priced a lot higher on Ebay though... For instance the 76CSx will probably be $250 or so.

:)

The new Garmins have def come a long way, i got a Rino 530 for a handheld and a Nuvi (forget what model) for the car. The Nuvi does the turn by turn color and talks back to me in a femaile voice with the British accent. Traveling a lot for work i really love the Nuvi. Just my two cents. Good prices though. Esp on the 76

Doug,

Can you get me a Nuvi 205w? I would prefer the larger screen.

Do you have any thoughts on garmin vs the uniden?

Maybe you folks could advise...

Currently I have a 276C in my D90 -
I am looking for a smaller GPS unit (handheld size) that my wife can use and I can take on travel trips (rental cars).

Unit needs to be user friendly (somewhat idiot proof) and have more info than just major highways and streets.
Do the GPS units come with city info/maps loaded or do you need to add info like with the 276c?

Thanks in advance.
Paul

Paul,

I've had lots of experience with Magellans and Garmins, everything from the $150 ones up to the unit in our tour bus that runs upwards of $750.

IMHO, the Garmin Nuvi is going to be your best bet. Very user friendly, easy to read, easy to operate, and lots of POIs. The 200w is very nice as it has a wider screen.

The Magellans I have used are not as user friendly in my opinion. Way too many butons need to be pressed to get to one spot, and the Garmin provides more info.

Beetle,

Do you have any Garmin 60CSx's and if so what price?

Thanks, Sam

No, sorry. I can get them but for what ever reason they are really pricey... like about $300. Seems like they are not giving me a deal on that one. :(

EDIT: the Lowrance I-Finder Expedition Color seems on the surface to me anyway to be really similar?

Those I can do for $221 shipped.

Doug.

Oh, I have a had a lot of PM's - Thanks!

The one common question I am getting and should have mentioned before is if i take Paypal or not. I'd be happy to but Paypal charges me about 3% or whatever it is..... I really am selling these here for no profit (maybe like $2-$5 : seriously) So i need to charge a little more for the Paypal fees.

I am happy to take a check/MO etc or if you'd like Paypal is fine if you add a little to the price. You'll still find these are CHEAP prices. These prices are WAY under my "normal wholesale" costs.

Thanks!

EDIT: I actually just looked again at my invoices and some of these units I have quoted the price to people on both here and by PM I screwed up..... I quoted my "quantity break" cost and none of them I met the break on (it's normally 6-12 units) so actually i am loosing a fair bit on some of these at the prices. (Like the 76CSx)

I WILL HONOR the prices, and I am happy to move inventory so it's OK. Nobody but DWeb'ers will get these deals though!

Also I will make a donation to DWeb after a few sell even if it means a slight loss. I just have too much stuff and $$ in inventory in the shop and current projects demand the room.

Thanks again all!

Doug, what do you have that would be comparable to the Lowrance Baja 540C? I want a fairly large screen and need to be able to load different maps with the SD cards.

I need it to be able to display speed in a large enough font to read from the driver's seat. It will be positioned where my pass airbag was. If you haven't guessed by now, I need it since my speedo will no longer work because of my axle swap.

Doug, mine doesn't have to be a 540C. From what I understand, the board on that one is coated in something to resist the board from cracking due to severe jolts, etc (Most off-road teams/pre-runners use that unit for that very reason).

I just want to be able to load different topo maps, etc. A larger screen than the 540C would be nice, I just need to same features (except for the coated board) such as customizable screen display, map loading, etc.
