Hey guys!
PICS
Price reduced to $4,700.00 I just recently bought another D2 so I am going to go ahead and spread the word on here about my 1999 (lovingly named Camel Toe) that I am offering for sale at $4,700.00 . In Houston Texas, will work with the buyer on shipping or perhaps a mid-way meet up.
The truck has ~120,000 miles on it I'll get the exact as soon as I find the key! Though I have the original spare at my parents house. This was my daily driver (25 mile commute going outbound = no traffic. So not so much stop and go)
The truck has never had any serious problems. I had to replace the front drive shaft and did so with original equipment. There is a slight odor of coolant when you stick your nose into the engine compartment after a long drive, but I never have found a leak and I loose so little coolant over time that I have just kept an eye on it.
The tires still have plenty of tread left and the spare has never been used. ~3,000 on them as well.
There is a "Heavy Duty" Old Man Emu shocks/springs I installed on it. Looks like about 2" of lift and it rides much better than it was. I believe there is about 3,000 miles on the new suspension. All the bushings and brakes are great. This thing rides really really well.
Engine has always had synthetic and was serviced exclusively at the LR Houston dealership prior to my purchase of it. At which point I started taking it to The Rover Shoppe. Always changed the oil at 3,000 miles. I should have kept all of my receipts from oil changes and lock actuators and whatnot but I did not.
The Body is in great shape. Only issue is the front bumper which got caught on a stump about a week after I bought the truck during a storm. Since then I have planned on replacing it with a Rovertym bumper so I never replaced the stock piece.
Interior is clean, its a 1999 so there are a few creases in the drivers side bolster as well as some wear on the drivers door panel and arm rest. The headliner is drooping in 3 places but I have pinned it up really well, its hard to notice.
This vehicle was babied, I really only "wheeled" it once on a beach trip, so it only saw dunes. I have always kept it clean and tidy and kept up with all service and fixing little problems as they came.
The roof rack will go with the truck. I paid $600.00 for it and installed new diamond wire on the floor of it and painted it. It has been a great value to me.
If the Rover community isn't interested I'm going to park this baby out between two high schools Lacrosse fields and hope it makes a great first vehicle for someone, though I really hope a rover enthusiast is interested.
