I just put about 250 lbs of bumper and winch on the front of my 96 D1 and would like to get it back to the original height. I don't want to lift it as it is a service vehicle and gets a lot of freeway mileage, Customers etc. just get it back to original ht
Does anyone have info on which springs I will need.
Thanks
Gordon

How much did it sag, if you new that you could insert a spacer of equal height and be done. Front spacerts available on ebay and via rovertym I believe.

i purchased spring spacers at my local parts store... and the "are you kidding guy" must have issues of his own. this board is here for posting questions, not just searching.

As is the question..

You know, I can't help it if people are lazy or don't know how to search. Maybe they have searched and haven't found anything. Or maybe they searched and forgot to mention that they did. Who gives a shit? Just give the guy some information or don't. If you're already typing then give him your opinion. That's why we're all here. Or give a reply like Koby. That's much more fun to read than telling someone that they are dumb because they didn't search.

I agree with steve

plus when's that last time someone asked this question?...I have read this page for years and cant really remember anyone ever looking to maintain stock height verses a set amount of new added front end payload.

sounded like a good question to me

funny thing every time Dweb comes back after a long down time people are all rude like a buncha pirates :D

Thanks to all who offered advice. I was really hoping to find someone who had actually done the same thing and could offer first hand experience.
Thanks again G

Gordon, I don't have first hand experience with these but LR makes a heavy duty spring that came on the front of Disco's with factory equipped winches. It should get you back up to standard height without any extra lift.

Something similar happened on another board that I frequent.

The old heads, as my dad would say, began to get very cross with newbies and their questions. As a result, the number of newbies dropped, and the forum's growth ground to a halt.

Of course, there are dumb questions, but if you don't like the question, don't respond.

If you constantly chastise folks, they will eventually leave. If that is what you want, then go ahead.

As a new member, I appreciated the help from others that I found here. It would be a shame if that changed.

Just my nickel's worth,
