If you go to the section "specialis cenversions" and scroll dowm to the "Shell" Land Rover. It's a 1963 Series LR used to explore Alaska for oil pipelines, I pulled this quote.

so they stretched it for more legroom.

wasn't there room for whatever that is in the back?
and gettig in or out of the back is no easier than stock.
they should have moved the seats back relative to the doors, so there's more than a foot from the seat base to the front of the door.
