Aaargh: installed passenger head on driver side

I'm doing a head gasket job on my 04 D2, my first time doing anything like this. I finally got to where I was ready to install the heads and I--very stupidly--installed the passenger head on the driver side so that I'm missing the locating stud that's supposed to be there.
My google-fu has failed me and I can't seem to find any info on whether I can simply remove the stud off the other head and install it where I need it?

I appreciate any help...and I'm ready to get roasted as needed.

Yes the heads are the same, Swap over from side to side whatever you need to make it work.
