I was curious about the ABS Modulator in the Disco II, when they fail what is usually the problem? Is it a relays that fail? I can't imagine that they very serviceable if at all.

Has anyone tried to repair one?

There is a shuttle valve that can be replaced, check the TSB section and search there have been discussions on it. Other than that I have not heard of anyone saying they rebuild it.

Depending on what the problem is it might be worth hosing it out with some brake parts cleaner if you never changed the brake fluid and it turned to wax in there. Maybe even take it apart to see whats up, NAPA has a decent supply of all sorts of O rings.

I know about the shuttle valve, and have done that before. Very easy fix. I was just curious about when the problem is more extensive if anyone knew what typically fails. Maybe I'll have to pull one apart to see what the internals are like. I just wish there was a wiring diagram of the inside, or if there is where I can find it.
