ABS pump 95 Classic

ABS pump not running. If I disconnect the 12 volt terminal and apply twelve volts directly to the pump it works. I'm also getting 12 volts to the pump on the other side of the terminal. ? I can hear the relay under the seat when I turn the ignition.

Hearing the relay doesn't mean it's working. It could be burned out on the contacts. Someone told me once that if the accumulator goes bad, that the pump will have to run more often because pressure cannot be stored anywhere, and it will cause the relay to go. They said that when they replace an accumulator they replace the relay now too.

I was hearing the wrong relay. Removed the seat side panel pulled the relays out and placed them back in their sockets and all is well. A bad connection for having sat for 10 years. Thanks Jafir.
