ABS-related warning lights - brake pads or something else?

For a little while now, I've been getting various lights on my 93 LWB which I think are all related to my braking system. Notably, the ABS/Traction Control lights frequently turn on when moving, even after they're supposed to turn off after starting a journey, and the parking brake light comes on occasionally (I just last week had the cable replaced and the brake rebuilt, on an unrelated cause, so I know no issues there). Also, the brake pad wear light comes on in sync with braking at times -- becoming more intense with greater braking pressure.

NOW...I have a VERY strong feeling that I need to replace my brake pads, especially in the rear. They're the next item of business, to be done by April. (Not driving it more than about 100 miles before then, and they're not totally shot.)

My truck's records suggest that the previous owner replaced them around 2005, which I think was around 120k miles -- I'm now around 145k. My mechanic noted that the rear pads need replacement when he did the parking brake job.

This would suggest that the brake pad wear light is, in fact, valid. The question is...are the other lights showing up related to the need for replacing them, with one sensor triggering all the lights...or do I have some other type of issue which I should be looking into that would be triggering the ABS/TC/Parking Brake lights? Or do I have, in the Lucas tradition, a totally separate issue?

If your brake pads are worn enough you might have dust accumulated on the ABS sensors. 'Sometimes' a good cleaning of the sensor and actuator will take care of the problem.
