Ace pump as air compressor?

Is this possible? I know guys convert their ac compressors to air. Since I ditched my ACE system, I was wondering if the same could be done with the ACE pump?

I guess the other option is to see if a York compressor fits in the same location as the ACE.

It looks like there is tons of room to put a york on the opposite side of a d2
