ACE System Question

How do you tell by physically inspecting a Disco II if it is equipped with the ACE feature or not?

Is there anyway to give somone a VIN(perhaps rover) and they send you a build sheet? If so any links to where you go to do this?

pop the hood and see if it has an ace pump. It's right next to the AC compressor.

a quick look at the rear sway bar helps too

The fastest way is to pop the hood and look at the resevoir. the ACE equiped trucks will have 2 caps on it the non ace trucks will only have one.

if someone dosent know thier way around a engine compartment they can still count to 2

Why bother. I have been back and forth on this thread but Jesus Christ!!!!!!!!!!!! Can a guy not open his own hood or at least read his manual? WTF I'm usually patient with newbies but for God's sake this takes the cake.

Patience..........everyone starts somewhere. Impressive enough that a newbie knows what ACE is, and that it's an option.

Not trying to start a battle, just saying, I didn't know my Rover had ACE when I bought it, or what ACE was. It's a ROVER thing.

I apologize. That was a little rough. I didn't consider that you were helping someone else. I don't know what got into me on that one. We've just had a lot of out there questions lately and I guess I let it out on you.

Anyway...it does not have ACE...he looked at the power sterring resovour for two caps.
