Advice on this Disco I am looking to buy...

I am looking at this 2003 Disco HSE7 with 95k miles, seems like a good price at $8888. Car is from CA, which is nice here in New England as it had never seen snow/salt.

It has an Old Man Emu Suspension on it, new tires, 3 row seat, Nav, etc etc..

I have been out of the Disco scene a while so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Has it had the recall done for the oil pump?

I may be speaking out of my ass but i think all the 03's had a recall on them.

I have not been able to research the repair history, so I do not know the answer.

Seem's like DII's are having a lot of engine issue's lately. I would do a search here and then decide if you want to roll the dice on $9K.

Thats pretty much what I am thinking too. I find it is hard to put the issues into perspective though, as every forum for every vehicle is full of threads about engine, tranny, ECU, etc issues about that vehicle. The headgasket issue seems prevelant, as well as random electrical gremlins.

Nice looking truck but does it have a true locking center differential? That also seems like a lot of money for an '03 with almost 100K miles.
