has anyone installed aftermarket air bags for towing in their coil sprung D2?

if so, what brand and were you happy with the product?

do you use them as intended? if so, do they work well and how is the ride?

is that the Firestone Brand?
I don't tow an overly heavy trailer and I don't have a GS1200 on the back, ever. But I do have to carry heavy loads regularly (~ 650 lbs on the roof rack last week for example) so I'm happy to have them. The ride seems very plush to me but I haven't had a disco without the bags to compare to. The PO did caution me that too much pressure, over 5 lbs or so, would be too stiff. I think they're around 3 psi now. I don't know the brand but can look closer if it helps.
I can't comment on the mounting hardware but here's a picture of the inflation hoses led to the back of the vehicle.

I’ve had the Firestone ones on my p38 for years. Tow my series mud truck on a flatbed behind it and they definitely help with leveling and ride. I don’t really off-road the p38 but they’ve held up well. It’s on OME springs so it’s pretty stiff anyway but it’s definitely noticeable when fully inflated at 30psi and no load. I deflate them some when not towing which helps. Not to 3lbs so I may try that but they have to have some air in them as I recall. Gordo

Thanks, all, for your replies.

I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the Firestone bags and track down a compressor and 1 gallon air tank to install, as well.
