Aftermarket Fog/Driving Light install???

I have recently cut my lower fog lights off of my 2000 DII.

I have a set of Hella 500s that I am going to mount on the bumper and was wondering if anyone knew if the factory fog light wiring setup (as is) would support the 55w Hella lights?

I would rather re-wire the whole thing to not be tied into the high/low beams, but I figure that I might be able to redirect this tie-in once I get in there.

I just disconnectd my bumper fog lights(only 1 worked) and ran the new fog wires straight to the old harnest wires. New lights should have a fuse on it. Mine had 30 amp. This way you dont have to put in another switch. Works fine.

lowwill, so you put a fuse between your lights and the old wires? Isn't that kind of hard to change?
