Air Conditioning is out!

I washed my engine earlier this week and my AC hasn't worked since! :eek:
So my guess is that the problem is electrical.

I've figured out so far that all the fans come on like its supposed too.
What doesn't seam to work is the compressor.

the manual says this for list of things to check for inoperable compressor clutch.


1. Incorrect voltage. 1. Check voltage.

2. Open or defective fuse or relay. 2. Check and replace as necessary.

3. Defective thermostat control or 3. Replace thermostat or pressure switch.

4. Shorted or open field coil. 4. Replace coil.

Number 1 sounds like a good place to start so how do I check the voltage and what should it be?
