I went to add some 134 to my 99 series I, and there is no low side connection?? There is a high side only! What is the proper way to add refrigerant? Thanks in advance

Low side connector is at the back of the engine compartment near the firewall passenger side of the engine, you should be able to see it. At least that is where mine is on my D1.

Yes, I recharged mine. When I tested mine without the rear air on it had plenty of R134a, then when I turn on the rear air it was low, so I added some R134a. Works great now.

Is that type of stuff a no-brainer. I seen the kits at the store with a gauge and a small recharge bottle. Is there any specifics I need to worry about.

I haven't done it on the Disco as of yet. But I did a recharge for my brother's Mazda 626. It's easy; just use common sense and read ALL directions.

my 94 leaks so i have to recharge it quite often.if you use a dual guage set do not open the high side, the can of freon will explode.i normaly run my high side up to around 220 the low side should be around 32.it will vary some with the temp.its around 95 where i live if its cooler in your area drop about 10-15psi on the high side.
if your not sure about doing it yourself go to a shop and have them vacume all your freon out and refill it with the exact amount it holds, its labeled under the hood.

I know for a real bad leak, I bought a small can of R134a Fix a leak, it worked great. It was about half the size of a regular can of R134a. It came with a fill tube, but not a gauge.
