ANY light inside the truck that can give light, flashes to the rhythm of the flasher, and step on brake causes an extended loss of dash light.
im aware that there is a trailer harness in back that could be the source of the problem... but i checked the gnd. on it, its rock solid no rust there at all
please please please help its so annoying

Check your battery and alternator first. The battery/alternator may not be supplying enough power to run all of those. The reason that I think this is the flasher rhythm.

13.5 should be fine.

get the rave out and follow the flasher power and ground curcuits and see if there is some chaffing or shorting. fuse box or BCU might be shorting also.

Okay, if the headlight switch is in the off position, everything goes funky disco style when I directinoal left. but when I turn that lightswitch on it doesnt do it. step on brake then with switch off i get all the lights including my headlights go on as long as foot presses brake pedal... i know this cuz i can see my lights in other drivers rear
:banghead: should I download this Rave cd to figure this out?

this is just a wild, uninformed guess (don't take it as advice) but it seems that all the lamps you are having fun with have only the light switch assembly and the associated relay in common -

before getting knee deep in wiring diagrams, maybe see if Will's got a good deal on a used light switch you could throw at it first?
