Make sure it is rated for use in aluminum blocks. It should be phosphate free. You can get serious corrosion if you use the wrong coolant so read the labels. Other then that I would use a name brand and check your owners manual to see what it recommends.

I've had success with the prestone pre mixed stuff. Whatever you do please make sure that you clean it up properly. The green stuff can kill animals/children.

Only if kids are nuts to lick something of pavement :)

Idea is to use same coolant as you had in there before (colorwise). Then mixture is up to you and place where you live. 70/30 is good for colder conditions, 50/50 is good for hotter ones. Something like purple ice or waterwetter is good to use as well :)

What is the difference between the green stuff and the other colour? I live in Indiana and it gets quite cold during the winter. What do you think to 60/40 mix? Though I want the kind of mix I can run all year (gets kinda hot in the summer).

Thanks,

James

The red stuff is a totally different chemical, and you CAN'T swap! Stick with what came in it.
