Has anyone successfully "rigged" a fan clutch so that it will not slip and always be in "cooling mode" ?
I am looking to rig mine until my electric fan gets here and I am taking a quick trip this weekend before they will arrive.

Thanks,

I've seen it done on a 4runner as a trail repair. We removed the cluch, drilled a couple holes in it, then put a some bolts through the holes to prevent it from free spinning.

not sure if it's worth the effort, when you might be able to pick one up cheap at an auto parts store.

Do you have your electric fans for your a/c still on your truck if so you can unplug your a/c condenser and turn on the a/c and the fans will run all the time.

for under 50 bucks and you can put a gm fan clutch on it and not have to mess with electric fans, I'm actually doing that as we speak to my newest disco.

Yeah, I saw the thread about the GM fan clutch, may be the way to go.

Do that but if you are worried do what Brandon said and pull the elec plug on the condensor and turn on your AC. The elec fan will run and keep it cool.
